Safety on the water is a high priority for boaters and for the Marine Board, Oregon's recreational boating agency. One way to promote safety is by enforcing boating regulations. Under the Marine Board's direction, state and county agencies work together to create a safe, enjoyable environment for all boaters.

OPERATION DRY WATER -a success! 14 boaters were taken off the water for boating under the influence of intoxicants (BUII). Six boaters had blood alcohol concentrations exceeding 0.15! There were also 139 citable offenses.
