Board Honors Clackamas County Marine Patrol
The Oregon State Marine Board has honored Clackamas County Marine Dep. Doug Olson with the 2003 Marine Theft Award. The board honored Deputy Olson during awards ceremonies in Bend on Oct. 1.
"Officers bring special talents to their job. One of Doug's is rooting out stolen boats and motors," said Bill Rydblom, Law Enforcement Program Manager for the Marine Board. "Through his diligent efforts, Dep. Olson recovered 26 stolen boats and motors this year. This is an excellent service to boaters and helps deter future theft of boats and equipment. He is also invaluable in training other marine officers to improve their skills on theft recovery.”
