Marine Board Phone Conference Set

The Oregon State Marine Board will meet by phone conference on Thursday, Jan. 29, at 2 p.m. to consider a request for additional funds for a boating access improvement project at the Port of The Dalles Marina.

In June of 2003, the Marine Board approved the use of federal Boating Infrastructure Grant (BIG) and Clean Vessel Act (CVA) funds to add a transient tie up and a pump/dump station to the marina. The upgraded facilities will improve service to boaters transiting the middle Columbia River. Unexpected difficulties placing piers led to the Port of The Dalles Marina to ask for additional funding.
