Marine Board Meets in Bend Sept. 27

The Oregon State Marine Board will meet in Bend on Monday, Sept. 27 for their regular meeting. The meeting will begin at 1 p.m. at Mt. Bachelor Village, 19717 Mt. Bachelor Dr.

Among other items on the agenda, the board will consider rulings affecting Pine Hollow Reservoir in Wasco County, Oregon Slough in North Portland Harbor and facility grant requests.

The meeting agenda follows:

- Director's Report

- Pine Hollow Reservoir in Wasco County: Proposed rule would allow longer waterskiing season on the reservoir.

- Changes to procedures for Adopting, amending and repealing local and special rules. Changes to administrative rules for enacting temporary Rules.

- Boating restriction on Oregon Slough - North Portland Harbor, Multnomah County. Proposed rule would close a portion of Oregon Slough to all motorboat use, as well as anchoring or grounding, while a sediment cap is being installed over contaminated sediments on state-owned land.

- Education/Information Program Report

- Law Enforcement Program Report

- Facility Program Report - Consideration of Facility Grant Requests for new projects, including a pumpout and dump station at Donaldson Marina in Multnomah County; construction of restrooms at East Basin Salmon Harbor and Jon Storm Park in Clackamas County; a floating restroom in the Brownlee Pool in Baker County, and a vault toilet at Cooper Creek in Douglas County.

The meeting will begin promptly at 1 p.m. The meeting facility is accessible for persons with disabilities. Persons wishing to address the Board on non-agenda items may do so during a designated period at the start of the meeting.
