Marine Board Hears Grant Requests Jan. 12 in Portland
The Oregon State Marine Board will meet in Portland on Wednesday, Jan. 12, for their regular meeting. The meeting will begin at 1 p.m. at the Portland Expo Center, Room D-101, near Delta Park and Marine Drive.
The Board will consider funding multiple boating access site improvements in Coos, Klamath and Tillamook counties, and the City of Lebanon. The full meeting agenda is as follows:
- Director’s Report Legislative session preview, agency budget and other agency matters.
- Facility Program Report Approval of funding requests. Proposed projects include parking redesign and overlay at Tenmile Lake in Coos County; paving at Petric and Henzel parks, and installation of a vault toilet at Wocus Bay, in Klamath County; parking improvements at Gill Landing in Lebanon; and gravel parking improvements at six sites in Tillamook County, plus vault toilet renovation at Memaloose Point and Nehalem Bay and renovation of the flush restroom at Pacific City. Cost for all proposed projects is $531,000.
- Multnomah County Boating Restriction The Board will consider approving a permanent boating restriction on water adjacent to the Rhodia plant site on North Marine Drive in North Portland Harbor. - Ocean Charterboat Rules Housekeeping amendment to OAR 250-015-001 to 0030 to include explicitly not just by reference - charterboat safety equipment required under the Code of Federal Regulations.
