Marine Board Meeting Planned in Newport on June 26
 
For Immediate Release
 
The Oregon State Marine Board will be meeting at 8:30 a.m. on June 26 at the Hallmark Res ort, 744 SW Elizabeth Street, in Newport.  
 
            The Board will consider adopting reciprocity provisions for outfitters and guides on the Columbia River upstream from the LongviewRainier Bridge and adopting a rule outlining vessel communication equipment for charterboats that operate beyond 20 mile offshore.  The Board will also hear a report from staff recommending against changing the boating deadline below Willamette Falls and a full time, 10-mph speed limit on Plat I Reservoir.
