Pelican Marina Gets Pumpout and Dump Station

For Immediate Release

Here’s some good news for boaters and anglers who frequentKlamath Lake for boating and fishing.  PelicanPelican Marina Gets Pumpout and Dump Station Marina is now the first location to have a pumpout and dump station on the lake.  Boaters are urged to use a portable toilet and use the marina’s latest amenity, which will help improve water quality and prevent bacterial contamination in Klamath Lake.

The station is open during the Pelican Marina’s business hours. Clean nozzle attachments are available for the pumpout hose from the marina office.

Pelican Marina also pledged to become a certified “Clean Marina” through the Marine Board in 2006. This pledge involves voluntarily adopting best business practices including recycling measures to control pollution associated with marina operations.
